Who has been your all-time favourite Middlesex player in all the years you've been a member - and why?

Hello all,ive been a member since 1976 My favourite player in that time has been Angus Fraser Not only very skillful when bowling,he never gave in and always gave his all. Although Tim Murtagh runs him close nowadays Both of them like artists with their deliveries probing batsmens weaknesses As did John Emburey Of the batsmen Radley & Ramprakash were terrific to watch in their differing styles But Mike Gatting was our top batsman in last 43 years I must also mention Wayne Daniel for his sheer brutal power

Started watching early 90s as a junior member and for me it was Desmond Haynes. In recent years, Justin Langer, in and off the field

As a member since 2003 I've most enjoyed the batting of Dawid Malan and the bowling of Tim Murtagh. I was also a big fan of Ed Joyce, and of the current squad admire the performances of James Harris.

Been a member since 2013. Enjoyed watching Malan bat, he will be a big miss or us. Before then would have been Andrew Strauss who I got to see before becoming a full member. Also liked Chris Roger's & Adam Voges

W. W. Daniel.
One of the best fast - and I do mean fast - bowlers.

I know this is favourite player & i seem to b building a squad but i must mention Keith Brown I hope he doesnt mind me saying-not blessed with lot of natural talent But boy did he make up for it with determination,fight & character
And Ollie Rayner Best slip catcher ive ever seen I lost count of times watched batsmen play forward,get an edge & waited for ball to bounce on rope only to exclaim-blimey Ollie's caught it!!!

Ethan Bamber, young gun, we both play at North Middlesex CC and is such a nice man. So happy to stop for a chat and discuss the going on's at the club. In past years, probabbly was Strauss or Compton

I love watching Tim Murtagh bowl. He can be a real handful, particularly at Lords. Although I am also an England fan, I was so thrilled for him to have effectively skittled England and get his name on the honours board (albeit in the away dressing room!). The headlines the next day were great; "Mid-summers Murtagh" and "Dial M for Murtagh" etc. ;-)

Tricky question to answer so let me give you 3 names;
Favourite player goes to James Anderson. A true world class cricketer who record stands for itself.
Favourite Middlesex player goes to Ollie Raynor. Bowling, slip catching and generally a good all round bloke. I had the chance to hear him speak during a Middlesex Club members dinner one November a few years back. Very entertaining.
A mention must also go to Phil Hughes who sadly left us so suddenly and touched us all deeply with the manner of his parting. RIP Phil.

Seriously though it can only be'Rad'.who doesn't just adore the bloke and everything he ever achieved for the club. Many have been blessed, with greater natural talent. but none have ever given more of themselves to Middlesex's cause. Loved and respected wherever the game's played'you'll never hear a bad word about him. Character,fight,determination.he had it in bucketloads.He and Linda still turn up to support us whenever they can, he truly is an absolute legend.

The BBC are currently running a poll on the greatest overseas player at each county. It looks like Middlesex will be one of the closer votes! www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/52489391Should it be Desmond Haynes or Wayne Daniel?

Lots of great players over the years that I have watched Middlesex play. However, I would have seen all of Mike Gatting's career and I would have seen him play lots of great innings. Would like to give a mention though to some of my favourite players when I first started watching Middlesex - Peter Parfitt, JT and Fred Titmus. Also thought that Eric Russell was a very elegant player to watch.
