With Tom Lace being the latest young talent to decide his future is better served away from Middlesex, is anyone else more than concerned that the once mighty Middlesex seem to be nothing more than a feeder club for Gloucestershire (and others)? With the unnecessary Kolpak signing of Cummins, I expect Bamber to be the next to jump ship which would mean 8 of the Second XI that won the Championship in 2016 will have left.
Am afraid Gus' argument that Middx have always lost players citing Kevan James, Rajesh Maru and Dean Headley (from his playing days) doesn't wash with me. Those three were kept out by Desmond Haynes, John Emburey and Wayne Daniel as the team were so good a the time winning multiple trophies.
Players that have left in the last few seasons have left because they can't get a game while the club struggles in the bottom half (largely) of the Second Division. I don't see the comparison at all Gus. None whatsoever.

Who are the members of the playing and coaching staff to be released at the end of this season,or has no decision yet to be made as to departures?
