I got taken to Lords as a toddler in the 1950's, but first game that I understood what was going on was Middlesex vs South Africa in 1960. Have followed Middlesex ever since.

Late 50s v Yorkshire one Saturday with my Dad. I remember Fred Trueman spending most of the time talking to the pub crowd and having to put his pint down to field a ball. Peter Parfitt was my schoolboy hero. My Mum would make me a picnic and I would skip school (primary), take the Green Line from Finchley and watch in the sun. I went with a friend to watch Gloucester with Syd Russell scoring a century against us. My Dad also found out that I had skipped school and watched England v Pakistan. I had hopped over the turnstyle for half a dollar. Dad didn't seem to mind though.
