I can think of two cricket novels; 'Run Out The Raj' and 'Bodyline, The Novel'. Authors Dennis Castle and Paul Wheeler. Both available on Amazon. If any others come to mind, I'll post them on this forum.

The Test by Nathan Leamon and Murder at Lord's by Henry Oltheten/John H Wories. The first is worth a read the second not so much. Another is Netherland by Joseph O'Neill, loosely based around the New York cricket scene post 9/11.

Very interesting hearing what you are all doing to pass the time. Learning to score sounds very industrious- and useful, as well as sorting out cricket books. I gave most of mine to an old friend - a Surrey member- now deceased. I`d really like to read cricket novel: anyone got any suggestions? Apologies btw I have no idea how to comment directly on individual replies. In fact, because I am the sole member online, I might abandon this for the time being. I am never online at night. Best cricket novel I have read is Netherland by Joseph O'Neill

The best cricket novel ever published remains in my opinion 'PRO' by Bruce Hamilton, a poignant tale of county cricket in a bygone era.'a must read'
