3 GREATEST memories 1-Day 4 beating Yorks in 2016 to clinch title Took a bit of shennigans to get there but i'd never seen a live hatrick And had terrific evening in Tavern celebrating with players, who seemed happy to share THEIR victory with us fans 2-Beating Surrey in 2012 in CC when they failed to chase a low score I'll never forget Tim racing off towards Tavern after he got winning wicket 3-GREATEST day of all Beating Essex & The Gnome in B&H final 1983? We had some fantastic battles with them in all comps in late 70s & 80s So to come from so far behind was tremendous

The standout for me would be the T20 Quarter-final at the Oval in 2008. Brilliant century from Dawid Malan to rescue Middlesex from an early collapse at 21-4, followed by a disciplined display in the field to smother Lancashire's response led by Andrew Flintoff. All in front of a packed crowd on a beautiful summer's evening.

Hove 1980. Our semi-final went into a second day and we were only defending about 180. Imran had decided to bounce Wayne Daniel and actually managed to knock his helmet off. Bad idea.
Wayne was usually quite languid in his movements until he started his run up. But he walked out at the start of the Sussex innings doing all sorts of physical jerks. I remember worrying that he might be too worked up. Not an issue. He took 6-15 and I can still see the Barclay's stump bouncing so far back that it seemed to reach Ian Gould as keeper.
Most sustained hostile spell I have ever seen.

One of most surreal memories is having only seen him live at english test grounds or on tv in vast stadiums. Seeing Glenn Mcgrath play for Mx at leafy Southgate in 2004!!! From what i remember he'd scored a few in 1st inns & we beat em on last day But as always on 4th day at Walker Ground was spinners who won the game & he only got 1 or 2 wickets!!! He usually seemed to get at least 6 v our test team!!

My fondest memory is of the very first time I saw us play,1957 v Yorkshire at Lord's, Saturday morning, bright sunshine,20,000 in the ground, sat on the grass in front of the grandstand.scorebook in hand, Mossy from the pavilion end bowls to Brian Close opening the batting, he steps back to hook and treads on his stumps. I was hooked immediately, devoured all my sandwiches and, half a bottle of Tizer.Happy days.
